USB problems & install corruption

Alright, well I just downloaded core 2 x86 for my compy to install. I burned them to CDs at 8x, blah blah blah. I booted up to CD 1, hit enter, and it hangs on
Code:
<6>USB Universal Host Controller Interface Driver v2.2
Makes sense, sorta, since RH9 also did this on USB detection..although it did not several months ago, it does now.

So, I use the linux nousb option, and I get to the blue screen..thing. It asks for a media check, I checked the first CD, it passed, and I skipped the rest as those aren't the problem right now.

After the media check part, a bunch of random characters show up--about 10-20 lines of it. It's the same every time but that's beside the point. It doesn't do anything. I tried installing to text mode, and it didnt work either.

My hardware:
Dell Dimension 2350
Pentium 4 2.20GHz
768MB RAM
hard disk partition with RH9 installed..but only text mode as the X server doesn't work..
Radeon 7500 (ATI All-In-Wonder VE)
Dell 48x CD-ROM (For boot)

If anyone can help me with this, I'd thank you a ton! Until then, I've gotta boot back into windows..

PS: I'd like to avoid downloading the discs again, as my internet speed is at an all-time low, clocking in at a cap of 16KB/sec.

Fedora Core 2 XKB problem

Hi there ,

After upgraded from Red Hat 9.0 to Fedora Core 2, I have a error when login in Fedora 2.

Error activating XKB configuration.
Probably internal X server problem.

The only configuration duing this upgrading is an automatic keyborad config.

What is this? And is it possible to fix this problem?

Thanks

YD

I also have a Dell Dimension 2350, and I can't even get anaconda to start!

I get to the boot prompt, boot to the CD, it asks me to check my discs, then it just puts up about 10 lines of random characters. When I look into the logs, it says that the loading of a font failed. Is there any way to boot with a different font? Or to avoid this problem?
