Stuck in a loop.........

Hi all,

I am checking out Fedora Core6 using Virtual PC 2004 SP1 running on windows 2000

I have installed a number of linux and OS/2 systems in this VPC, so I think I have the idea of how things work within it.

I am installing from the ISO files, and I boot off the first one, it goes through the checks, partitions the virtual drive, and all seems well as it says it is ready to install, and that I need to have disks 1 and disks 2 available, and to press OKAY.... This restarts the machine, and it boots off the DISK 1, which puts me back in the same loop where it prepares things, checks the video card, and then wants to partition the drive. Go ahead and do that, and around and around we go.... :-)

It never tells me to remove, or switch from the first disk... Should it be telling me something right about here?

I tried attaching to the second iso before it reboots, but that won't work (free to try, right? <g>) so I need to know what the heck is going on :-) When does it begin to install files, and how do I get it there?

I really don't wish to burn all the CDs, as I am just taking a look to see if Fedora is something I want to go with. I want a linux install, but so far, this one won't install <g>

I want to give as much info as I can here, to save time and get to the issue, but I don't know what else to ask. I booted it, it ran the checkouts and did the partition and loaded GRUB, then rebooted, and just wants to keep doing the same thing over and over. Where is the indicator for the actual files to be written, and the install to occur. When does that happen in the Fedora Core6 install process?

Hope that makes sense to someone wiser than me.....

Thanks a lot,

John
