Starting ypserv on FC4 with /etc/init.d/ypserv throws ypxfr execl() permission denie

This happens if the script is started at bootup or manually on command line
as root. However, starting the ypserv daemon directly on command line as
root DOES NOT error and properly transfers maps as expected. This is using
ypserv 2.18 compiled from source. All paths have been checked for
permissions.

Startup script on FC3 (which does work) were compared with FC4 and there are
no differences apart from the initlog deprecated function.

help plz???
