Red face PXE E51/E53 Error on rebooting after installing FEDORA 12

I have installed fedora 12 on windows xp machine for dual boot. this is stand alone system. after installation when i boot it system is trying to configure DHCP and showing PXE-E51 OR PXE-E53 error.i dont want any remote/network/server booting, as this is a stand alone system. i seem to have set some setting wrongly. kindly anyone suggest where i could have gone wrong!

Hi,

If you don't want remote networking - then why do you have DHCP configured? Do you want to assign a static IP to the machine?

Based on the PXE error, the problem you're getting has to do with the DHCP server not offering the NIC and IP.

My advice is to boot into rescue mode; change from DHCP to a static IP and check if you can boot the machine.
