project on secure stream control transmission protocol(SCTP)

hi
we are really drifting very much as we dont know where to start our project.
we want to implement security enhancement like cryptography, authentication
etc for SCTP.
1. From which point we can start the project??
2. Is it necessary to read and understand the whole kernel or so?
Thanks in advance......

Any work is done on secure SCTP

Hi All,
I am new member. I am planning to take up my thesis in secure sctp area.
Would like to know if secure SCTP RFC is available? If available, can I know the RFC number.
Also kindly suggest if secure sctp is already implemented and available in lksctp? And which version of linux has the support for secure sctp. Can you please guide me to the URL where I can take a look on secure SCTP implementation.
I tried to search myself online but could not find answers to my questions.

Thank you in advance
