problems installing fedora
I'm trying to install Fedora on my pc a
Duron 750 512 pc133 ram It goes thru the install procedures and all that jazz, but as soon as it starts actually installing I get an error, I can't member exactly but it something like ' bad media, hardware or something error,, yadayada,, this is a serious and your installation has been aborted press any key to reboot' like I said it's not the exact error I'm getting but it's the best I can remember.. if you need the actual error I could get it later on tonite.. as far as the bad media error I can't see it cause the cheksums were correct before I burnt the iso, and the cd check part of the install passed, any ideas what could be going on? any ideas how to fix this? anything would help thanks |
that sounbds somewhat similar to the trouble im having at the moment....
try using a HDD install ( no i have nbo idea how to do that. yes i would like somone to tell me) or using a different cd rom drive.... the workrounbd im trying at the moment is making a floppy bootdisk... which might work... i hope |
what I ended up doing was burning new images on different medium and all is ok now. funny.. I used the exact same iso's but a different brand disc and everything went peachy, just have to learn it now..
