Netgear Wireless PCI problems

I'm having all sorts of problems getting my FC1-running computer connected to my home wireless LAN.

I have a Netgear WG311 v3 PCI-type wireless network adapter card installed in a free PCI slot. The network card at eth0 is detected (and flagged because it isn't connected), but the Netgear card does not appear to be.

How do I get FC to detect the Netgear card?

And then, of course, will come the problem of getting a suitable driver. I understand the MadWiFi works with this card?

But one step at a time.

Computer info:

eMachine T2792
Memory 768 MB
Bus Type: PCI
CPU: 2.8GHz Intel Celeron

Fedora Core 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl installed in a dual boot setup (which is working fine--Hooray!)

Thanks for any assistance anyone can render.
