Unhappy Mouse not detectedproperly

I have a peculiar problem........ I was loading FC3 test2 so the problem i faced was that during installation the mouse was not detected, though it got detected later when the installation completed and i rebootted the system into the new OS FC3.............

Now for the problem is that the mouse gets detected as generic even during installation but the pointer doesnot respond..... so the pointer is static and during the installation the pointer points ........ due to this pointer pointing at different values my installation is not proper.... is there any way it can be rectified other than just disconnecting the mouse..............
