Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I downloaded the Fedora Core 2 ISO's from red hat's website. I burned them using Nero 6 and tried to install on 4 different computers. I'm not trying to do dual boot or anything like that. I've burned the images several times and downloaded them several times thinking it could be a problem there but i still get the same error during the boot process before the install program even loads:
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
VFS: Cannot open root device "<NULL>" or unknown-block(72,3)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(72,3)
i tried typing:
