Installing Fedora Core 2 32-bit on a Vmware ESXi 6.0.0 platform

Hello --

We are attempting to install Fedora Core 2 32-bit distribution on a Vmware ESXi 6.0.0 platform in order to run a legacy application. The hardware appliance is a Dell PowerEdge R730xd system.

When Fedora installation application searches for any hard drives, it cannot find any even though a virtual machine that utilizes a SCSI connection to a 200 GB drive has been previously created by the administrator.

Has anyone come across this issue, and has been able to solve it?

Thanks.

Probably the scsi controller drivers don't exist in FC2 kernel due to that OS becoming EOL in 2005, while that hardware was released in 2014. Try with a newer version.
