Installing Fedora Core 1
I have Win XP Home installed on a computer and am trying to dual boot with Fedora Core 1. I have downloaded the iso images and burned them to a CD-Rom and tried to boot off the CD-Rom. I am not sure if this is the correct way to install or not. The files on the CD are yarrow-i386-disc1.iso,
yarrow-i386-disc2.iso, and yarrow-i386-disc3.iso. The CD did not boot, so I found some instructions and created a book diskette. The diskette works fine but when I tell the installation to use the CD drive for the install it says the "Fedora Core is not present." I then extracted all the files using WinRAR and burned disk 1 to a CD and tried them same but got the same Fedora Core not present. I looked at a RH 8 install disk at work and it looks like the disk that I made but it will not install. I also tried to install off the hard drive to no avail. I need help creating the disk correctly, then I think my problems will be resolved. I did have Mandrake 9 on the partition previously but got rid of it a while ago. Now I am trying to install Fedora Core 1 on that same partition. Any help is greatly appreciated.
