Installed Fine Hangs On boot

Okay ive looked at other posts but none seemed similar to what my computer is doing. I installed fedora on my laptop and the installation went fine. After i rebooted I starts to start up and it comes to that graphical loading screen with the computer and the progress bar and it get to the point where it says setting up local disks then it just stops, mouse and everything freeze. I looked at the show details and its blank. So i dont know how else to see if anything is wrong. Any suggestions?

Just run the command
# firstboot
as root to detect your hardware.

sorry to reopen this old thread, but i have the exact same problem. computer hangs during "setting up local disks".
I am total linux newb, but im willing to learn.
after some research i found out that fedora hangs when it tries to probe for firewire on the line: ...och1394 ..... or something similar.. i found out this when i hit ctrl+alt+F1 when the "press [I] for Interactive menu" note comes up during the boot process.

if this worked for ElementNine i guess it would work for me aswell.
I read somewhere that I could write: linux nofirewire in rescue mode, but i have no idea how to do this. it seemed real easy and all, but i still dont know how to do it.

if anyone would be so kind and write down a step-by-step howto on this exact problem i would be forever thankfull.
