This is a known problem visit the Red Hat Bugzilla (bugzilla.redhat.com) site and do a search on bug number 162217, one of the fixes/workarounds should take care of the problem.

I have the same problem, but that bug # you posted has to do with GCC.
FC4 is giving me trouble installing on my PC, its not a grand computer but ive seen it installed on much less so im fairly sure it can handle it... it gets all the way to the actual installing Fedora stage and either gives me an error or locks up every time... anything i should be aware of?

Really can't say one way or the other. You should provide your system specs to get a resonable answer, a few video cards, a few motherborads and a few IDE controllers are known problems when installing FC-4.
You can try installing FC-4 in text mode instead. When the menu screen is displayed, type 'linux text' without the single quotemarks.
Gentlemen
After I have read carefully the article how to install fedora core 2 in swedish computer magazine and followed exactly the details I succeeded installation.and I am glad it works good. Yet in the moment I have some important questions which I seek answers. USB ports do not function, the system does not recognize it i don't know how. This is important to load pictures from digital camera _ casio. The second question is how to uninstall linux totally ,I couldn't format the disk. Because I want to give this computer to my grandmother who is not able to run linux and I shall install linux in my new computer later. Of course nothing wrong with linux though some questions which could be worked out later in any way . Thank you for support and a very good operating system.
