When installing FC2 fresh over my system which already had Windows I saw a warning "unable to align parition ..." and after the installation, my Windows cannot be boot anymore. This did not happen with FC1 even though it also show simila warning.

To get around, I had to install FC1 first then upgraded to FC2 and skip boot partition update. The same "alignment" warning exists though. While this works, it seems some parts of FC2 is not there compared with when I did fresh install of FC2.

One thng missing is all the Display backgfrounds. Anyone has same probs like mine ?

I have the same problem. I ended up re-installing Windows and then Linux but the partition-realignment problem never disappeared. Luckily everything boots fine, but errors mysteriously surface once in a while, for example, every 10 times I try to boot Windows and every 20 times I try to boot Linux, it fails and I have to press my computer's Restart button. I also get mysterious crashes in Windows I never had before.

One day I plan on doing a low-level format of my hard disk and hoping that that will work.
