Install Fedora core in HCL laptop P19 PDC model

I am not able to install Fedora core Xwindows on HCL Laptop P19 PDC model. When consulted HCL service engineers I am told that this model of Laptop is not made for Linux OS. But I strongly feel that it should be possible to install Linux on it. Please guide me.

It should be easy. Look for a install guide in this site and the fedora site.

Post the hardware specs too.
32-bit/64-bit?

1.Boot with Fedora CD1/DVD
2. Be prepared to format a partition > 15 GB for Linux
3. You can select custom partitioning of HD and need to make a swap partition (~ 2 times RAM) and a root partition mounted at / Use JFS/reiserfs on the root partition instead of ext3

Rest is all on the GUI.
