is there a easy way to upgrade to the fedora 16 without the grub2?

Keeping packages, that should never be updated :

Add a line to /etc/yum.conf
exclude=grub*

The wildcard ( * ) is important : Must always be used.

thanks, but does that still work if i preupgrade fedora 16?

sorry, but it doesn't work.
and i don't find a way to configure preupgrade...:(
