How do I dual boot/install Fedora 15 along side Windows?

Hi,

I'm having problems with installing Fedora 15, so far every method I've followed leads me to the Grub Bash-like minimal line interface instead of Fedora.

Here's my set up.

I have two Hard Drives.
1. Has my windows installation and various other bits and pieces. This has three different partitions and is more or less full.
2. Has nothing on it < this is where I would like Fedora including everything to do with Fedora.

As yet I've been unable to boot Fedora from my hard disk so I think I'm doing something wrong. If someone could guide me it'd be much appreciated.

The following documents might help. Please have a look:

http://thpc.info/dual/win7/dualboot_...r_on_win7.html

http://thpc.info/dual/win7/dualboot_..._win7_2hd.html

There is a section in above documents which explains the installation of Fedora on second HDD and grub controlling the boot options.

Is it possible to install Fedora alongside Windows Vista? Will there be any compatibility issues?

Yes, and no.
I've had more issues with Vista (Ultimate) than I have with Fedora 13/14/15 on that box.

Wink

If u want to dual boot, First you should have unpartitioned space, remember unpartitioned does't mean Free space, it mean u should have unformated partitioned, then in 4th screen check the option "use free space".
hope it will be benifitial for u......!!!!!
