Hard drive installation error, not recognizing ISO files
Hi. I don't have any CDs (or DVDs) so I'm forced to use the one CD-RW I could find. This means that I can't install FC4 with CDs; it's either a hard drive installation, or a network one. I've decided on a hard drive installation....
I've got everything up to the point where it asks me where the ISO files are located working well. The contents of the CD are fine, I have plenty of room, etc. The problem is when I get to it asking me where the ISO files are. It gives me the choice of either /dev/hda1 or /dev/hda2. I tried both, but none has work. They tell me they can't mount... or something like that. So I press F2 and chose another source (hdd. Sorry, I'm really tired... that may not be right) and that works.
Now I'm given a bunch of ISO files and two or three folders. The one folder I find is lost+found so I go back and put my ISO files in there. I go back and try to install them but nothing is there. What exactly do I have to do to make the computer recognize their location? And where is /dev/hda1? It's my main drive if I recall correctly... but does that mean it's "/"?
If you could please help me with either this or getting an http installation... it'd be much appreciated. Thank you
