It installed smoothly, I logged in and played around, but when I rebooted, the screen went blank, I played with grub(I can't remember what I did) and got it working.
But also, the install had not detected and added windows to GRUB, so I did that, rebooted, couldn't get into linux, but windows boots when I select it.
Im downloading knoppix now to see if I can boot that and make alterations to FC 6 later
Im running amd athlon XP 2800 1 GB of ram
120 GB hard drive (For linux)
80 GB hard drive (windows XP)
nothing different with the hardware, I installed FC6 over slackware 10.
I tried switching to command line grub at boot and typed:
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/xen.gz-2.6.12-1.2895.fc6
module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6xen ro root=LABLE=/ rhgb quiet
module /boot/initrd-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6xen.img
because that is what appeared when I went to edit the grub entry.
but when I tried to change it, the text went all screwey. say, if I delete a letter in the middle of the line, the last character is deleted, and no matter what I type the same(incorrect) text appears.
edit: have grub installed to hda(my 120 GB linux disk) and I chainload to windows.
