I tried all the drive trix already. The reason I know its fedora and not my computer is that my university releases a version of linux. That version is able to detect both drives perfectly.

Don't worry bout it anymore, I've opted to install a copy of fedora on the main drive with win xp. I'll just keep the slave drive as general storage.
