Strange issue:

Installed Fedora C2T2 fine once on my Sony notebook. Was screwing around with getting all of my stuff working on my Sony TR2 and eventually needed to reinstall. So I went to reinstall with the same exact media and now it doesn't recognize disk 3 when it asks for it. I even tried burning a couple other disk 3's from the same download and it still doesn't work. Luckily I have an image (thank God for Ghost and USB2.0 support) but it still is driving me insane as to why the disk 3 media is all-of-a-sudden not working when it worked before.

Oh, also I'm going to try to install C2T3 tonight so we'll see how that goes. Also, if anyone is interested in sharing some tips/tricks on getting Fedora working properly(i.e. sound, wireless, sonypi function buttons, etc) on the Sony TR series then let me know!

ive had the same problem on core 1, the cd was perfect when i burned it.. but with a week of pritty much continious use (ive been haveing installation problems) the media failed the check..

i think the issue is that the installer is very very flakey about errors on the disk... even the tiniest scrape whith i thought would have been covered by the ed rom's error correction threw off the cd check :S

im about 2/3rds ofg the way through downloading the files and this time im going to install from HDD
