Fedora and Postgresql
I installed Fedora 8 and then intalled Postgresql 8.2.5. Initially, the service did not start However, according to the error message, I ran the command service postgresql initdb. The service started. But I cannot login the server using pgAdmin due to incorrect password.
During the installation process, there was no question for postgresql role to be created. Would anyone know the problem advise me that:
Either:
1. There is a default role installed, kindly advise the default role and password.
or
2. If I need to create a role, kindly advise how as I tried psql and service postgresql without success.
or
3. There should be setup of the first role during installation, kindly advise how can I do it. At my current situation, do I uninstall Postgresql and reinstall again to let the installation ask me the first role setup.
Thanks you very much in advance.
