Fedora 7: Messed up screen at end of Install

After i "installed" fedora 7 and i was changing the options, the bottom quarter of the screen was an odd color where the mouse didnt show, etc (i cant tell you the color because my moniter is messed up) so, to press next i had to use Tab and Enter.
i ended up installing it though.
the problem is that when i boot fedora, it all looks fine until the part that is supposed to be the login screen. The login screen is all white and the bottom quarter is still that weird color.
but, keep in mind that the whole begining of the install looked and worked perfect.

the computer is a Pentium II Dell 26GB harddrive 1.25GB swap 512MB ram (idk the graphics card)
i had no trouble installing DSL linux, Feather linux, and PC linux OS: but fedora 6 wouldnt work right either

any ideas why?

thank you for your help

Yep... the others are quite light... PCLinuxOS is fairly light - feather is very light ad DSL is, well, damn small! You are installing to a minimum spec machine and fedora is big, real big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. You may think it's a long way down the street to the chemist but...

Have you tried a text login?
Have you tried a lower resolution?
(Hopefully this is a minimal install...)

Well all right - to find out your graphics card, enter "lspci" at a terminal (looks like you want to exit to text mode first though.)

I'm thinking along the lines of your video card running out of memory (or fedora misidentifying the card.)
