Hi Everyone!
I am having a problem installing FC7LiveCD into my hd.
I originally had 2 partitions in my hd.
The first partition (C has got my XP os. And the second (D
is for my back up. I decided to install FC7 into the D: partition.
As per requirement, I formatted D: partition to ext2 and also I created SWAP of about 700MB before D: partition.

Now, I restarted the computer with FC7 LiveCD in my CDROM. It started with bunch of codes....(you know what I mean)..
and it gives me a warning message "Connot find root file system!"[/B][/COLOR]
Below that message, it says, "Create symlink /dev/root and exit this shell to continue the boot sequence."
and below this, it says,
"bash: no job control in this shell"
and the prompt stops at bash-3.2#_

After that I took out the Live Cd from CDROM and restarted the
computer expecting XP but it gives me an error message saying,
"Error loading operating system".

My computer is COMPAQ Presario 2594AG with 2.4GHz processor,
712MB RAM, 60GB HDD.

Please help me out.

Isn't FC7 still in beta?
If so I would report to them the issue to help them get it right.

Yes Brian, its still BETA. But still they should at least make it easy to install.
Any idea how to ?

Never seen that before. Have you tried other Linux distros. Might give FC6 a try and see if it does the same. Then this might be a place to start if fc6 installs and fc7 does not.

Thanks brian, I gave up that stupid FC7.
I downloaded iso1 of FC6 and its going well, i mean, it at least gives me
the option to install.
But hey, do i have to download all 5 iso?
If yes, then its 3.28 GB. How am I gonna have that much
download quota?
I have got just 2GB d/l quota?
Is there anyway, where I can get it?

It can depend on what you install but I would say you need all ISOs. More than likely there is at least something on each that is needed no matter which install options you choose.

I would send some info to the Fedora Core team on your hardware and the problem you had to help the progress on the distro.
