fc6 install puts /boot onto wrong disk?

Background.
Installed FCx onto new hardware with 2 SATA drives.
Later installed an old IDE drive, mounted as /bk, used for backup.

Installed FC6.

It appears that the install has decided that the IDE drive is
my main drive and installed /boot onto the new (IDE ) disk.

Question.
If I power down,
Unplug the IDE drive
Can I reboot from the install media to sort it out?
is there any other way I can put /boot back where it should be.

Seems a little important with a name like that!

TIA

You can remove the IDE disk & install FC6, later you can mount the IDE disk & remove /boot & rest of FC6 (if it put /boot in the IDE disk it must have installed rest of FC6 also in IDE disk only) from it.

There are a couple of other files there, but I'm unsure
what 'the rest' are?
Mostly it seems to have updated the apps on the SATA drive.

Your suggestion makes good sense.
Many thanks.
I'll let you know!

If it has mostly updated apps on SATA disk, then you can choose the update option while reinstalling FC6 after you remove IDE disk, so that only the missing components are installed
Edit: If your IDE disk is primary master, then only boot will be on IDE, "rest" will be on SATA
