FC4 Installation Fail Multiple DVD and CD
My apologies if this has already been asked before, and I suspect it has but I couldn’t find the answer which suited me best, if any one can point me out a link to the correct thread I am looking for that would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway onto the question, I am having problems with the installation of fedora core 4 I have burned the set of 4 cd's 3 times now so I have wasted 12 cd's only cd’s 1,2 and 3 passed the media check, although I know that buggy. I also went ahead with the installation of fedora anyway but while installing it reported an error on the disk so I assumed it was the burning process or the iso. I then re-downloaded the image and burned again and still the error during installation So I gave up on that option And when for the DVD version of fedora, after downloading it overnight I burned it to a DVD using alcohol 120% of course it failed the media check and then had an error during installation, which surprising stopped when it was installing open office. What am I doing wrong? Is it the fact that I am using an incompatible burner/ media or just me? Currently Downloading Slackware 10.2 Also Just Incase Thanks |
Sounds like your CD/DVD drive is fscked.
