FC3 on SATA


i have Athlone XP 64 Bit Proceser & K8S-MX ASUS motherboard. SIS SATSA controler on board & Segate SATA 80GB HDD. While installing FC3 on SATA i am getting error "no hdd found". while installing windows xp i had to provide driver for sata raid conroler, provided by asus. but i am not able to install FC3. pl guide me for this. i have just one hdd thsts SATA. so where can i get driver for it for linux ? or how can i install FC3 on it ?

whelp thats a bit odd, i have that same mb only the deluxe ver and fedora seemed to
install just fine on it (other then some problems with my ati x800).

now there are some problems with older ver's of the bios on those mb's
you might want to download the new bios and see if that helps

thanks 4 the answer. after updating bios the problem remain same. but i have segate sata HDD, problem is with HDD not with raid. pl guide me for detectation of HDD while new installation.

Ok try this

boot to rescue mode then run fdisk to see if you cant see it from there

fdisk /dev/sda

if it can see it try making a partition that way.
