FC3 installer won't boot from CD

I am trying to install Fedora Core 3 on a Dell Dimension L667r. I have set the BIOS to boot from CD, but I can't get it to boot from the CD drive. I tested out the CD boot by using a Winblows install CD and it booted fine. I also checked the MD5 and it matches the first disk ISO on the FTP mirror.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you copy the iso to cd or did you burn it as cd/iso image? The right way to burn an iso is as a cd/iso image.

I burned it as an image. I got it to boot on another machine, but not on the one I want to set up with fedora.

Mmm, thats puzzling. If the windows cd works then so should the linux cd. Maybe it has a problem wih your optical device.

I think there might be a drive problem. I pulled out the CD drive and put in another one, and it's working.
