Angry FC 6 booting Problem

Few weeks ago, i have installed the FC 6 on my computer. Everything works fine, but this matter doesn't last long.

After the installation, i try to reboot, after the enabling the udev, the screen display Video Mode is not supported.

By the way, this is not my major problem, after enabling the /ets/fstab swap, the screen display something which is as below:
Quote:

Leftover inexact back trace

Leftover inexact backtrace

This is the error message i get when i reboot after installation. I have formatted my computer more than 10 times but the problem still exists.

I guess it might something wrong with the System call. I also have Mandriva Linux 2007 Powerpack in my computer. It works perfectly.

Your help is greatly appreciated by me and others.

Thanks in advance.

Hope GOD will blessed you all.

Boot your machine from the installer DVD/CDR in rescue mode. From directory /var/log copy boot.log and messages to a place you can access when posting your reply (read-write mounted partition, floppy). Post the lines leading up to and surrounding the "DWARF2 unwinder stuck" message in the Fedora Core bugtracker and mention the exact kernel you run (and maybe HW specs?).

* Also do not make thread titles that include the text "Sticky:".
It's a creative trick, but you're not allowed to do that.

I have try to boot the DVD in the rescue mode but i don't know how to copy from /var/log to /boot.log . I know this command is want to view the error message. Could you please show step by step how to do it ?

I installed FC6 and the kernel should be 2.6.18 .

When i installed, i typed linux i686 to prevent wrong selection of kernel version.

My hardware specification is

AMD Athlon64 3500++
Asus M2NE - Motherboard
512MB ram
Geforce 7100GS Graphics card.

hi,

I think you will have to look more into the logs.

there is some module which is giving you problem..so you might lookinto not using it.

Also as you mentioned about SWAP in /etc/fstab.. why don't you try with some other SWAP partition ..if not make a new one..

regards

Good one. Seems to be related to Sysfs and Udev, apparently more people have problems with stuff ranging from sound cards to USB devices. I still say this should be in the Fedora Core bugtracker.

Peter_APIIT: you posted a duplicate thread which is against the LQ Rules. I merged them. Do not do that again.
