Hello.

I am trying to install FC4 and have burned the installation images to disc. Upon inserting disc 1 and trying to boot from it, I receive the following error:

Boot failed: press a key to retry...

I presently have this system running RH9 and have inserted disc 1 after the system is booted up and at the Gnome desktop, but all it does is open a Nautilus window showing the filesystem.

Any ideas on how I can get FC4 installed?

I didnt have any problems booting the RH9 disc 1 and installing from CD.

Did you run the sha1sum check on the downloaded file before burning to disk?

yes all the images passed. found out the problem after i posted. its a bad burn.
