I did a clean install with Fedora.
Partitioned FAT32 using ranish.
Afterward i installed Windows ME.
Of course now win ME booted itself.
But den i was tired of using the boot disk to load Fedora
and so i reinstalled GRUB.
Now i can't even boot win ME with boot disk.

my partition:

hda1 - /boot 5120 gb
hda2 - / (root) 100 mb
hda3 - swap 509 mb
hda4 - Windows ME approx. 30 gb

But the funny thing is when i use the "df" command,

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda2 5164248 3174336 1727580 65% /
/dev/hda1 102454 6438 90816 7% /boot
none 127752 0 127752 0% /dev/shm

the partition with windows ME says none for the parameter.
it doesn't come back with <hda4> like it should.

does that have to do anything with it not booting?

i also tried xosl the boot program but when i tried to install it in
a dos partition it wouldn't pass the "checking the disc" process.

now i'm utterly confused and need ur help!

that's not your partition, it's shared virtual memory.

You need to add an entry in grub.conf that points to the windows partition..
