I am installing FC6 on the second HD of my machine. I have XP SP2 on the first HD. On install, I choose Grub as the bootloader and set it to install on the MBR. This setting has worked fine for me in the past (I used to have FC4 on the Linux drive) but now I can't get a Grub menu when I boot. It just takes me straight to the lovely Windows page - "Windows failed to start..." - with the option to start in Safe Mode etc.
I can't understand why this isn't working. I'm doing everything the same way as the last time I installed Fedora Linux. Can anyone help me with this?
I'm guessing grub is working fine. Fedora (stupidly IMHO) default to hiddenmenu - did you select XP as the default OS to load during the install ???.
If so, Anaconda probably guessed wrong on the partition.
On reboot, hit the <Esc> key on the blank screen after the post messages - should give you the grub menu. Pick Fedora, and lets see the menu.lst, and "/sbin/sfdisk -l" (ell as in list).
