Having a problem configuring Evolution for an nntp account. Running Fedora Core 4 with Gnome. I just installed it a couple days ago. I have no idea what versions are and at the moment, don't know how to discover them. I just installed Fedora and have about 8 hours of experience although I'm an advanced Wintel user.

Anyway, here's my sad tale of woe and a hope for some suggestions on how to get past them. My ISP is Comcast. I have successfully configured the e-Mail account and have Internet access. My news server is newsgroups.comcast.net. This server requires a username/password. In the appropriate apertures in the wizard I type in the server name (newsgroups.comcast.net) and my username (user@comcast.net). Now, here's the rub; When Evo sends this data to the news server it appends the news server name to the username (user@comcast.net@newsgroups@comcast.net). Naturally, the news server pukes on this and authentication fails. I've tried recreating the news account numerous times and have tried to reset the username in preferences without success.

If some kind soul would consider pointing me in the right direction I would muchly appreciate it.
