CDRom not found AMD K6 350

Hi, I've tried Fedora Core 2 and now Red Hat ver.7 and I keep stalling at CDRom not found. They both install to the point where I'm asked what media do I wish to install from, I click CDRom and then they just hang.

Fedora 2 gave me the message CD not found in any drives.

Any ideas?

David

I'm not sure if this is the same problem but I have a similar problem installing FreeBSD. It would boot off the CD but the installation program wouldn't recognise the drive. What the problem was that one of my drives had to be made defintely the master and the other definetly the slave. For more info check out this link.
