All Redhat CDs fail md5!!!
Hi!
I downloaded all 5 CDs for Redhat Fedora Core 2. Some I did from the official site, and some from file sharing networks.
Now I burned CD1 using Nero6 on WinXP, but installation checks the media and says media has error.
I tried to check the CD using Isobuster on XP, it says CD is fine.
Then I checked the md5 of the files, and I was shocked
All 4 CDs failed the md5 signature test. The rescuecd was the only one which passed.
What I noticed was that the download of the 4 CDs had been resumed repeatedly, while the rescue cd was done in one shot.
Could it be that resuming the file has corrupted the md5?? These download accelerators use some form of rollback on resume, could that have caused the problem.
I would have accepted it as isolated if only 1 CD was bad, but all of em??!!!
Pls give me a good solution, I dont want to download 2Gb again!!
Thanx
