yumex-"Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base"

whts the meaning of this ? i get this message when i try out the command yumex
cant figure out why

Have you tried using yum from the command line and does that give you the same error message?

Have you had a look at the Unofficial Fedora Faq instructions on using Yum and the yum.conf file they provide (
