yum rpmdb

Hi, I've been struggling to get Fed 15 installed on this new Toshiba laptop. Now I've got it more or less running, I keep getting 'warning rpmdb altered otside of yum' I had a lot of problems installing, the machine froze on me several times, I had to reinstall, then force reboot

How can I tell yum to patch it up??

The warning message means that other applications than yum have changed the rpm database (maybe you used rpm from the command line or some GUI application). Anyway, to make the warning disappear, just do
Code:
yum clean all
to clean the yum cache.

Thanks! I didn't use anything, I suppose this is the result of the crashes I've had. Also the newest kernel yum installed will not boot. I suspect there are problems with the ATI 9803 chip, but that is just an uniformed guess.

And I'm getting the feeling that a lot of problems have been caused by the screensaver which switches off the screen after 10 mins by default. I have changed it to the max, which is 1 hour. Dunno why I can't put eternity, but I suppose that is to protect the planet.
