yum is not updating


when i tried #yum update i got the following:

It looks like there is an invalid setting in /etc/yum/conf, the main configuration file for yum.

how to yum

how to set it right?

how can i delete yum.config file and reload fresh .

You can open RPM packages with Applications > Accessories > Archive Manager just like a Zip file, so you could get the package for yum, extract the yum.conf file, and copy it back.

Note that the repository configuration files in /etc/yum.repos.d/ come from the fedora-release RPM, rather than the main yum RPM.
