XGL on Fedora Core 4?
 

hi

i have looked around the net, found not much about running XGL on Fedora Core 4.
My brother has a Unviersity Project on Fedora Core 4, as it would be stupid to have fedora core 4 & 5 installed on the same PC. Therefore i dont have FC5 yet.

But, i was wondering if its possible to install XGL and run it on FC4 i have read some posts about it running on FC5 but i was wondering if any one has tried it with FC4.

It is possible but alot of work. You will need to update Xorg to the latest version. Remember that XGL is still in heavy development and can still be buggy even on the most up to date box. With that said, have a look at this thread. Particularly the post by tmccubbin. Have fun! :)
