XFree86 and Fedora Core 2

to install a touchKit, I need to install a bunch of packages:
tk, gcc, glibc-devel, XFree86-devel and Kernel-source.

i'm running Fedora 2.

whenever i try to rpm these packages, i get an interminable list of dependecies (package requiring another package requiring another package....)
I'm also getting conflicts (for XFree86 conflicting with X11 org)

Can somebody please explain to me what's going on? what should i do?

Install fedora's development kit (all of it) from the CDs using add/remove programs. You get everything you've mentioned with them.

which development kit are you talking about?
I only used the first 2 CD2 to install Fedora 2 on my computer...

if u did a personal desktop installation u are probably missing these things- follow proudclods advice and next time do a workstation installation
