Are your end users running Linux workstations so you want them to authenticate into a Windows AD environment, or do you want your Linux server running Samba to accept authentication from Windows AD?
In the first case you want to find out about Samba client.
In the second case you want to find out about Samba server.
In any case you should be able to find what you need at
www.samba.org. There is a lot of documentation. Some documentation is oriented to explain why steps are done while other documentation is example based.
