will my linksys wireless network adapter work?

Hello all,

I just installed Fedora. So far, I think it's pretty cool. Except, my internet won't work. I have a linksys router downstairs which wirelessly sends the internet upstairs to my computer. I have a linksys usb network adapter up here. I popped in the cd that came with the router and that didn't work. But i do have access to the drivers and what not. So I was wondering, will it be possible to get the internet working on Fedora, and if so, how? Or, am I out of luck, because with the documentation that came with the router it says you need Windows.

Thanks in advance.

* as you can see, i'm a total newbie, so please be gentle

I don't have an answer to your question, but you might check out the Wireless Networking Forum on this site. Just by browsing the forum, I could see some stuff on Fedora and Linksys. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=41

You can also search that forum only by clicking on the the Search button on the top of this page.

Good luck on your problem.

I have the exact same problem!

I just installed Fedora upstairs in my room, but I have a wireless connection with a linksys wireless adapter, the usb kind. I don't know how to get it to work. Hockeykid, if you find out how to make it work with Fodora, please let me know, or have it posted to this board so i can see it.

I found your posting by searching on google "linksys wirless adapter linux"

Anyway I have the exact same problem, please somebody out there, help. It would be much appreciated.
