Why no MP3 capability?

When you install Fedora Core 3, it includes XMMS. So why doesn't XMMS play MP3 files?

If you used the search tool you would have got an answer because this is asked a lot. Some of the major distros based in th US do not include packages that can infringe other peoples patents.

You need to install the "xmms-mp3" package, which is available from Livna. You can see this for more information.
