Why doesn't my system start due to missing file

Hi All,

I am a new Fedora user.:newbie: I have been using/trying Fedora OS for couple days. Everything was working fine but today when I tried to start my system it gave this message:
"There was an error loading the theme Bluecurve
Failed to open file '/usr/share/gdm/themes/Bluecurve/throbber.png': No such file or directory"

There is only one button which says "OK"
I clicked on that several times but nothing happened. So starting process gets stuck here.

Probably this is a silly mistake but since I am a new user I dont really know what to do.

Can someone help me to figure out how to get out of this situation.

Thanks in advance.

when you boot to fedora hit the ctrl+alt+f6 keys to change to console, login as root put the fedora cd's and reinstall the gnome-themes package with:
rpm -Uvh --force gnome-themes...rpm

Thanks for you help.
But i could not change the console because my machine is a bit weird. There is a windows partition and also fedora partition. any way I decided to re-install fedora. I had Fedora core 2.6.11-1.27-FCC3. Should I re-install fedora-2 again or do you recommend me to install fedora-4 or anything else?
Thanks again for your help.

Reinstalling the operating system is one (brute force, admittedly) way of solving this problem. Somehow that particular file got deleted, and without it, you graphical theme won't load properly.

It doesn't really matter which Fedora Core version you choose to install. I always lean toward the more recent ones, because updates are still coming out, and the hardware support may be slightly better.
