which dma-channel does my soundcard use ?

hi everybody,

i'm using fc 3 and want to know the dma-channel of my soundcard ( it's onboard-sound).

finding the irq was pretty easy with lspci and grep.

but for the dma ? cat /proc/dma only reveals "4: cascade".

cat /dev/sndstat doesn't work because there ist no sndstat.

i know that alsa configures the right irq/dma channel by itself, therefore i guess there must be a possibility to find out WHAT alsa did !

the manual from my motherboard doesn't reveal anything about the settings. and i have NO windows installed on my workstation, just gnu/linux.

the sound works (it doesn't sound 100 % ok, but i can handle with that), i'm just interested how my system works :-)
