What is falkag.net?

Does anyone know why firefox (version1.5)can't get to (at our school) Slashdot, The Register, or a great many other sites, hanging with the prase " Transferring data from a.as-us.falkag.net..." This problem exists for us on FC4, Agnula, Knoppix and also on Windows 2003 Server. Opera gets to these sites easily, but we would prefer to use firefox. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks, Kurt

Well, Im not sute of what it is, what Im sure is that a lot of the images I have banned in Konq's AdBlock list come from it.

I have the same error at work, it's a right pain (i like to waste hours on slashdot) I put it down to our proxy server (on an old Nt machine)
