Question what does fedora 13 contain?

I've downloaded fedora 13 DVD,does it contain codecs for all supported audio and video formats or do I need to Install them separately?

Fedora is a free, open-source distro.

The nonfree codecs and applications are available from http://rpmfusion.org

Here's a pretty good guide for setting up a fedora desktop. It tells you how to set up your yum repos to allow you to install any necessary codecs.

setting up applications, installing, configuration etc,I can get from google
what I need is whether fedora 13 dvd contains all the available codecs and s/w's needed for development like apache, mysql etc.or should I download and install.
because if fedora 13 doesn't contain them, wont install it.
currently using Lucid Lynx in which I set up all these softwares which took a lot of time with a slow internet connection.

Fedora is a poor choice if you have a slow internet connection. It is a cutting-edge distro that receives a constant stream of updates, many hundreds of mb's over each 6-month cycle. (Also it does not include the codecs you're looking for; you'll have to get them from rpmfusion or similar.)

Mint is a good choice if you are looking for "non-free" codecs out-of-the-box.
