What Can I Delete?

I've done a search on this, but found mostly info on deleting things in Slackware.
I'm running Fedora 4 and I need to get some space back.
What files are safe to delete, such as *.tmp, old *.rpm, *.txt, etc..
I'm not running DNS or Email Server.
And what the heck are these large files in /boot?

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1871123 Aug 18 09:56 initrd-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4.img
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 764778 Jun 2 22:03 System.map-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1639539 Jun 2 22:03 vmlinuz-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 159966 May 23 06:47 xen.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1610052 May 23 06:47 xen-syms

If I use the control panel to remove programs, most of the time it tells me that
such and such file could not be found and so the program will not remove.
So that's why I'm trying to delete stuff manually.

Any assistance is appreciated, thanks!
Kim

Hi!

You can delete some .rpm files. Some may be system files, be careful where you find them and ask if you're in doubt. The files in /boot should NEVER be touched unless you want a non-bootable system.
