Webcam detected but not working

Greetings,everyone.

I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad T410i notebook at home and want to speed things up with Fedora Core 16 instead of fancy but slow Windows 7.Everything is working fine except the webcam.

I checked out many websites and I was told that the webcam should be working fine. It's being detected-

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 17ef:480f Lenovo Integrated Webcam [R5U877]

However, when I use a program called "Cheese" to validate whether the camera is working,a piece of grey picture is displayed instead of my face.

Do you guys have similar experiences? Please share with me if you have.

barunparichha,thanks for the reply.

It turns out,the uvcvideo module does not support my webcam. I don't like to compile that software you recommended as I prefer package now.

I have no idea how other Lenovo thinkpad users use their integrated webcams on linux.
