Want new Video Card

I read the "Must Read" document already and I'm tired of
playing with this.

On FC 5, I run a Radeon 7000 series with a whopping 800x600
screen resolution. (Hate it) AMD Athlon on desktop PC.

When I go to the local inComp USA, I only see ATI and
nVidia cards. I was afraid to as much as look in
Best Buy (Dumbest Sales Associates). inComp and Best Buy
are the only stores that sell PC stuff here. I'll buy
on the Net if I must to get a card that works.

Has anyone gotten video configured with the card and drivers
"out of the Box?" If so, which card worked for you?

Thanks,

-s

Weather you buy nvidia or ati, you will have to install their proprietary drivers to get the most out of them. Right now nvidia has better linux support than ati. Have fun shopping.

I have a Nvidia graphics card and it runs fine on Fedora Core 5. I just followed the steps here: http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...es.html#nVidia

It also worked fine with older versions of FC with Nvidia's driver.
